Our Story

 Frontier started as Frontier Welding Works, founded by Late Gyan Chandra Bhatia at G.T. Road Kanpur.

Kundan Lal Bhatia established Frontier Engineering Corporation at Dada Nagar, Kanpur

Kundan Lal Bhatia was awarded Udyog Patra for self-made entrepreneurs by the institute of trade and industrial development from Dr Shankar Dayal Sharma, former Vice President of India. 

Frontier Group expands its operations and opens Frontier Springs Private Ltd. 

Marked the incorporation of Frontier Alloy Steels Private Ltd. 

The Company transitioned from Frontier Alloy Steels Pvt. Ltd. to a Public Limited Company Frontier Alloy Steels Ltd.

The Company is awarded Class “A” Foundry status and can now start the production of safety items for its customers.

 Coach Buffer with capacity 1223 KgM and Locomotive Buffer is developed with R.D.S.O at Frontier.

Frontier developed RF361 Draft Gear and Casnub Bogie with 22.9T axle load with R.D.S.O.

Frontier collaborates with McConway & Torley, USA and Miner, USA.

Frontier expands as another plant is set up at Paonta Sahib, Himachal Pradesh.

Slackless Drawbar is developed at Frontier with McConway & Torley.

The company gets approved as a source to supply 70-BD.

25T Bogie LWLH is developed at Frontier with American Railway Industries, R.D.S.O and I.I.T. Kanpur for gondola (BOXNS)

H-type coupler for locomotives developed at Frontier with M.C.T.

Frontier developed H-type coupler with balance draft gear for LHB with M.C.T.

Side Bearer for BOXNHL, BCNHL & HONHAM developed at Frontier with R.D.S.O. 

Frontier developed ADI Wedge for double stack BLC wagon with R.D.S.O.
